Vegan Burger Recipe

This recipe features lentil, rice, walnut, and flavorful burger patties. The recipe uses cumin, coriander, and garam masala, but can be customized with other flavors. The burgers can be served with avocado ranch, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickled jalapeno, and melted chao cheese.

Process onion, garlic, ginger, walnuts, and cilantro in a processor or cook in oil. Add spices, salt, basil, rice, and half cooked lentils. Pulse until well combined. Transfer to a bowl, add ketchup, oil, and flax egg, mix, taste, and adjust seasonings. Add breadcrumbs or flour and chill.

Add flour or breadcrumbs to the chilled mixture if it's too wet. Adjust for moisture, lentil type, and consistency. Shape into 4 large patties, pack well, and cook in a skillet over medium-high heat.
