Happy Diwali to all who are celebrating!

Diwali is here again. Every year, the activity in the house and on the blog starts up real early in fall. One day we are cruising through Summer and summer produce and suddenly there is fall. Fall recipes, warm spices, then Indian festivals, Navratri, Diwali and then we just keep that pace through Halloween and the holiday season. No wonder January feels like there is no activity anywhere 🙂 .

There are several stories behind Diwali as well depending on the region. In general, all stories have the common thread of celebrating the goodness in everyone, the prosperity, health and knowledge, and how good always wins over evil. In all the celebration, we choose not to know about how our actions affect other living beings around us. This Diwali, make these plant based versions of your favorites!

Diwali is on Oct 23rd this year. This year it is going to be special and you know soon about that!
