I grew up on pan bagnat (I grew up in Provence), and was a bit skeptical. Obviously, it is impossible to replicate the taste of tuna, and the egg is missing, but the texture was pretty good, and the chickpeas mixture very flavourful (even with the unlikely addition of cilantro). This was a really tasty, fresh and crunchy sandwich, and easy to make. Thanks for a very satisfying lunch.
